How do I switch from SimpleTexting to TalkerIQ?
To switch from SimpleTexting, sign up for TalkerIQ and start on a temporary number. Export your contact lists to CSV first. If you text from your own landline or VoIP number, SimpleTexting must release its texting — a number can be text-enabled in only one place. For a SimpleTexting-provided number, ask SimpleTexting Support for port-out details before cancelling.

Switching from SimpleTexting: questions

Reviewed by the TalkerIQ product team · Updated
Will I lose my number if I leave SimpleTexting?
Not if you move it first. SimpleTexting says that if you cancel and sign up again you won't get the same toll-free number back, so keep your account active until your number is working on TalkerIQ.
I text from my landline through SimpleTexting. What changes?
Your calls already run through your phone provider, so they keep working. SimpleTexting notes a number can be text-enabled in only one place at a time, so its texting is released and moved to TalkerIQ — and TalkerIQ can then handle calls on that number too.
How do I export my contacts from SimpleTexting?
Go to Contacts → Lists, check the lists you want, and click Export contacts. SimpleTexting exports the selected lists into a single CSV, which you can import into TalkerIQ.
Do my opt-ins carry over from SimpleTexting?
Bring your opt-in records with your contacts so you can show how each subscriber agreed to hear from you, and leave out anyone who opted out. TalkerIQ handles STOP requests automatically and records opt-outs on each contact.
Do I need to register for 10DLC again?
Plan on registering your brand and texting campaign for your TalkerIQ number. We draft the use case, sample messages and opt-in wording with you — see the 10DLC registration guide.
How long does switching from SimpleTexting take?
It depends on your number type and carriers. You can start on a temporary TalkerIQ number the same day, so calls and texts keep flowing while your number moves.
