Before you start

What do you need from RingCentral to switch?

Gather these first and the port goes through on the first try.

  • Numbers to move — list every RingCentral number (main, direct, toll-free) you want to keep.
  • Account details exactly as on file — RingCentral's numbering policy says port requests need specific information that matches its records, so copy the company name, address and account details from your RingCentral bill or Admin Portal.
  • Transfer code — if the port asks for one, RingCentral's community team points customers to its number transfer team at ntd.helpdesk@ringcentral.com.
  • Exports — download call logs, recordings, voicemails and SMS you want to keep before you cancel, since numbers and data go with the account.
  • Your setup — screenshots of auto-receptionist (IVR) menus, call queues, business hours and integrations, so we can rebuild them on day one.
