Your numbers
What is a virtual business phone number?
A virtual business phone number is a phone number that isn't tied to a physical line or desk phone. With TalkerIQ, you pick local, toll-free or international numbers online, and calls and texts to them ring in the browser, desktop app or mobile app — or go to a phone menu, queue or AI agent you choose.

Sound familiar?
Customers were calling our reps' cell phones, so when someone left, their customers went with them.
When your business runs on personal numbers and a single main line, you lose ownership, reach and trust all at once.
Your business lives on personal cell numbers
Reps text and call customers from their own phones. Nothing is logged, and the relationship leaves when they do.
Out-of-area numbers don't get answered
Calling a new market from a number nobody recognises means more calls go unanswered.
Overseas customers pay to reach you
Without local numbers abroad, international customers face long-distance charges — or just don't call.

How a call moves through TalkerIQ
Ring group
The sales team's phones ring together; first to answer takes it.
Queue
Caller hears position and hold music; next free agent gets it.
AI agent
After hours or overflow: answers, books, or takes a message.
Ownership
Numbers that belong to the business, not the employee.
Assign numbers to people, teams or AI agents and reassign them in a click. When someone leaves, their number — and every call and text on it — stays with you.

Opening a second location — with its own local number by lunch.
Brightline Home Services is expanding from San Francisco to Austin. Here is how the new line goes live without a single desk phone.
- Ops manager picks a 512 number
Searches by area code in TalkerIQ and adds an Austin virtual phone number in under two minutes.
- Routing set for the new team
The number gets its own IVR phone menu and an Austin ring group, with Austin business hours.
- AI covers the gaps
Until the local team is hired, overflow and after-hours calls go to an AI receptionist that books jobs into the shared calendar.
- Texting switched on
After 10DLC registration, the same number sends appointment confirmations and lands replies in the shared team inbox.
- First Austin customer calls
They see a local 512 number on Google, call it, and a technician picks up on the mobile app — logged to the CRM automatically.

Reviewed by the TalkerIQ product team · Updated
What kinds of numbers can I get?
Local numbers by city or area code, toll-free numbers, and international numbers for supported countries. Each can be used for calls, and US local and toll-free numbers can also send and receive texts once registered.
Can I keep my current business number?
Yes. You can port your existing numbers to TalkerIQ. A temporary number is available while the port completes so you can start using TalkerIQ right away.
Can one person have more than one number?
Yes. A rep can have a direct line plus access to shared team numbers, and every number keeps its own call and text history.
Can I route a number to an AI agent?
Yes. Any number can go straight to an AI agent, to a phone menu that offers the AI as an option, or to your team with the AI as after-hours or overflow cover.
What does the caller see when we call out?
Your business number — whether your team calls from the browser, desktop app or mobile app. For outbound campaigns, local presence can show a number local to the person you're calling.
How many phone numbers come with each TalkerIQ plan?
Every plan includes 1 local number per user. Additional numbers are $10 per month each on any plan, and Enterprise is custom.
Can I get a second phone number for my business on my existing phone?
Yes. Install the TalkerIQ mobile app and your business number rings on your existing iPhone or Android alongside your personal number, which stays private.
Can I choose a specific or vanity phone number?
You can search available numbers by city, area code or digits and pick the one you want. Availability of specific vanity patterns depends on the carrier inventory at the time.
