Power dialerYour reps talk. The dialer does everything in between.
Part of the TalkerIQ AI dialer. Load a list and the next number dials the moment a call ends — with the contact's history on screen, a recorded voicemail one click away and the outcome logged before the next hello. Same reps, a lot more conversations.

What is a power dialer?
A power dialer is software that calls the numbers on a list one after another, one line per rep, so nobody dials by hand. On TalkerIQ the next contact dials as soon as the rep logs an outcome, from a local caller ID, with that contact's calls, texts and notes already on screen.

Sound familiar?
By the time I've found the number, dialed it, waited through the rings and typed my notes, the hour's gone.
Reps rarely run out of leads. They run out of time between calls — and that's the part of the day a power dialer gives back.
Dialing by hand, from a spreadsheet
Copy, paste, dial, wait. Every misdial and every tab switch is time not spent talking.
The same voicemail, said fifty times
Half the calls reach a greeting. Reps either leave the same message over and over or skip it entirely.
Notes typed after the fact — or never
Wrap-up eats minutes after each call, and the CRM ends up with gaps managers can't trust.
Calling blind
Without the last email, text or call on screen, reps open with "just checking in" instead of something useful.
How it works
One session, start to finish: how does a power dialer work?
What a rep's hour looks like on the TalkerIQ power dialer.
Open a list
Pick a list from a CSV upload, a campaign or your CRM. Callbacks due today sit at the top.
Your repDial starts
The first contact dials from a local number that matches their area code — after calling-hours and DNC checks pass.
AutomaticTalk with context
Name, company, open deal, last text and past calls are on screen before they say hello.

Voicemail? Drop a recorded message. Live call? Pick a disposition, add a note — the AI summary is attached for you.
Rep + AINext call, already ringing
The next contact dials straight away. Follow-ups from the disposition — texts, tasks, CRM updates — run on their own.
Automatic
Context
Every call opens with something worth saying.
Because the dialer lives on the same phone system as your texts, inbound calls and AI agents, the rep sees the whole story: the text the lead replied to yesterday, the AI call last week, the deal sitting in your CRM. No tab-switching, no "remind me who you are".
- Contact timeline with calls, recordings, texts and AI summaries
- CRM record on screen — HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, Zoho
- Browser softphone controls — hold, mute, warm and cold transfer, merge

Voicemail
Leave the perfect message without staying on the line.
With voicemail drop, reps record a few voicemails once — a first-touch intro, a follow-up after a demo request, a renewal reminder. When a call reaches a greeting, one click plays the right one into the mailbox and the dialer moves to the next contact.
- One-click voicemail drop in the rep's own voice
- Several recordings per rep for different lists and stages
- Logged automatically as a "left voicemail" outcome

Wrap-up
One click logs the call and starts the follow-up.
Call dispositions are the same short list for every rep, so reporting stays clean. Each one can trigger what happens next: a callback at the time the lead asked for, a confirmation text, a CRM stage change, or removing the number from every future list. AI call summaries fill in the notes.
- Custom dispositions per team or campaign
- Automations per outcome — tasks, texts, CRM updates, list changes
- AI call summary attached to the contact, so notes take seconds

Get answered
Call from a number they'll actually pick up.
With local presence dialing, each call goes out from the number in your pool that best matches the lead's area code. Before it dials, TalkerIQ checks the lead's local time, your Do-Not-Call list and opt-outs — so reps can work fast without worrying about who they're allowed to call, and when.
- Local presence from numbers you own, never spoofed
- Calling windows in each lead's time zone
- DNC and opt-outs enforced across calls and texts

Power dialer vs predictive dialer vs manual dialing: which fits your team?
A power dialer sits between dialing by hand and a predictive dialer. The right one depends on team size and how much each conversation is worth.
| Manual dialing | Power dialer | Predictive dialer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lines dialed per rep | One, typed by the rep | One, dialed automatically | Several, paced to available reps |
| Rep hears | Every ring and greeting | Every ring, but no typing or tab-switching | Only people who answered |
| Delay when someone answers | None | None — the rep is already on the line | Can be brief while the call connects to a free rep |
| Best for | A handful of calls a day | Small teams, warm leads, researched accounts | Long lists and several reps working at once |
| Voicemail | Rep leaves it live | One-click recorded drop | Usually skipped before reaching a rep |
| On TalkerIQ | Click-to-call from the browser softphone | This page | Predictive dialer |
What changes
What reps and managers notice in the first week.
manual dialing
The list dials itself. Reps spend the session talking, not typing.
of wrap-up per call
One-click voicemail drops, dispositions and AI summaries replace minutes of note-taking.
logged the same way
Consistent outcomes and recordings on every contact, in TalkerIQ and in your CRM.
left without a next step
Callbacks, texts and retries are set by the disposition, not by memory.
People and AI, one list
Reps power-dial the warm leads. AI works the rest of the list.
A common setup for outbound sales teams: AI outbound calling for first touch, and the power dialer for every lead that asked to talk to a person.

Reviewed by the TalkerIQ product team · Updated
What is the difference between a power dialer and an auto dialer?
"Auto dialer" is a broad term for any software that dials numbers automatically. A power dialer is one kind: it dials one number per rep at a time and moves to the next contact as soon as the current call ends, so a rep is always the one who talks to whoever answers.
Power dialer or predictive dialer — which should I use?
Use the power dialer when each conversation matters, lists are researched or reps are few — there is never a delay when someone answers. Use the predictive dialer when you have long lists and several reps working at once, and want to skip unanswered calls entirely. You can run both on TalkerIQ.
Can reps pause between calls?
Yes. Reps can pause the session, skip a contact or take as long as they need on wrap-up. The next call only dials when they are ready.
Does it work with my CRM?
Yes. Reps can dial lists from HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, Zoho and other CRMs, and calls, recordings, dispositions and AI summaries are written back to the contact automatically.
How does the power dialer handle calling hours and Do-Not-Call?
Before each dial, TalkerIQ checks the lead's local time against your calling window, your Do-Not-Call list and opt-outs. Contacts that fail a check are held or skipped. You remain responsible for consent and the calling rules that apply to you, such as the TCPA in the US.
Do reps need desk phones or extra software?
No. The power dialer runs in the browser with a headset, and on the TalkerIQ desktop app. It uses the same business numbers as the rest of your phone system.
Can a power dialer leave voicemails automatically?
Yes. With voicemail drop on the TalkerIQ power dialer, a rep clicks once when a greeting answers and a pre-recorded message plays into the mailbox while the dialer moves to the next contact. The call is logged as "left voicemail" on the contact.
Is a power dialer legal to use for sales calls?
A power dialer connects every call to a live rep, which is different from robocalls that play an artificial or pre-recorded voice. You still have to follow the calling rules that apply to you, such as Do-Not-Call lists, calling hours and consent requirements. TalkerIQ enforces calling windows, DNC lists and opt-outs before each dial.
