Cloud phone system for businessA phone system that makes sure every call lands somewhere useful.

Business numbers, smart routing and a softphone your team can answer from anywhere — with AI agents that pick up when nobody else can. One cloud phone system for the calls you make and the calls you can't afford to miss.

No desk phones or PBX Keep your existing numbers Browser, desktop & mobile

What is a cloud phone system?

A cloud phone system is a business phone service that runs over the internet (VoIP) instead of desk phones and an on-site PBX. Numbers, menus, routing and recording live in the provider's cloud, and your team answers in a browser, desktop or mobile app. TalkerIQ is a cloud phone system for business with AI voice and SMS agents built in — so after-hours and overflow calls are answered, not sent to voicemail.

Sound familiar?

We were paying to make the phone ring — then losing the calls we couldn't get to, and never finding out which ones.

Most teams don't have a calling problem. They have a coverage and visibility problem: calls arrive when people are busy, land on the wrong person, or disappear into a voicemail nobody checks.

  • Calls ring out at the worst moments

Lunch, peak hours, after 5 PM, when the one person who knows the answer is on another line. The caller tries a competitor next.

  • Callers bounce between the wrong people

Without routing rules, every call goes to whoever picks up first — and then gets transferred, twice.

  • Your phone system lives on desks your team doesn't sit at

Hybrid teams forward to personal cell phones, so customers see random numbers and nothing gets logged.

  • Nothing gets written down

What was promised on a call lives in someone's memory. Nothing reaches the CRM, and follow-ups slip.

How it works

How does a cloud phone system handle a call — from first ring to follow-up?

Here's what happens to a call on TalkerIQ — and who handles each step.

  1. Get a number, or bring yours

Pick local, toll-free or international numbers in minutes. Porting your existing line? Use a temporary number until it switches over.

    Your team · 10 minutes
  2. Greet and route every caller

A phone menu greets callers in your brand voice, then business-hours rules, ring groups and queues send them to the right people.

    Automatic
  3. Answer from anywhere

Your team picks up in the browser, desktop app or on mobile — always showing your business number, never a personal cell.

    Your team
  4. AI covers the gaps

After hours, during spikes or when the queue gets long, an AI agent answers, books, takes details or warm-transfers the hot ones.

    AI agent
  5. Nothing falls through

Recordings, transcripts, AI summaries and outcomes are logged to the contact and your CRM, and missed calls trigger an instant text back.

    AI + automation

Set up

Your numbers, live this afternoon.

Search by city or area code and add local numbers that customers recognise, a toll-free line for support, or international numbers for overseas customers. Already have numbers on business cards and Google listings? Port them — we handle the carrier back-and-forth.

  • Local, toll-free and international numbers, voice and text enabled
  • Number porting with a temporary number from day one, so you're never offline
  • Caller ID that builds trust — registered business caller ID and local presence for outbound

Answer

Pick up on whatever's in front of you.

Your business line rings everywhere your team works — a browser tab at the office, the desktop app at home, the mobile app on a job site. Answer on one, and the others stop. Customers always see your business number.

  • Browser softphone with hold, mute, warm and cold transfer, and call merge
  • Mobile and desktop apps for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows
  • Caller context on screen — name, open deals and past calls before you say hello

Follow up

Every call recorded, summarised and in your CRM.

When the call ends, the work usually starts: notes, CRM updates, a follow-up text. TalkerIQ does it for you — recording, transcript and AI summary land on the contact, and missed calls trigger an instant text back.

  • Automatic recording, with pause and resume when card details come up
  • AI summaries and sentiment on every call, so nothing promised is forgotten
  • CRM sync to HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel and more — no copy-paste

See

Know what's happening right now, not next week.

A live wallboard shows who's waiting, how long, and which teammates — human or AI — are free. When the queue builds, you see it in time to do something about it.

  • Live queue and agent status across humans and AI agents
  • Missed-call and answer-time reporting by number, team and hour
  • Overflow rules that bring in the AI agent before callers give up

FAQ

Questions teams ask before switching phone systems

Reviewed by the TalkerIQ product team · Updated

What is a cloud phone system?

A cloud phone system (also called VoIP or a virtual phone system) runs your business phone lines over the internet instead of copper lines and an on-site PBX. Calls ring in a browser, desktop app or mobile app, and features like menus, routing, recording and reporting are set up in a web dashboard.

Can I keep my existing business phone numbers?

Yes. You can port your existing numbers to TalkerIQ. While the port completes you can use a temporary number, and calls keep ringing on your old provider until the switch, so there is no downtime.

Do I need desk phones or special hardware?

No. Your team can call from a web browser with a headset, or use the desktop and mobile apps. Nothing needs to be installed on-site.

What happens to calls when my team is busy or it's after hours?

You decide. Calls can wait in a queue, roll to another ring group, go to voicemail with transcription, or be answered by a TalkerIQ AI agent that books appointments, answers FAQs, takes details and warm-transfers urgent callers.

Are calls recorded and logged automatically?

Yes. You choose which calls are recorded, and each recorded call gets a transcript and AI summary on the contact's record, synced to your CRM. Recording can be paused while card details are read out.

How much does a cloud phone system cost?

TalkerIQ is priced per user per month: Starter $39 for calling and texting, Growth $79 adding dialers and campaigns, and Pro $149 adding included AI minutes, each with pooled call minutes and SMS. Annual billing saves up to 25%, and pay as you go is available with no subscription.

Is a cloud phone system reliable enough for a busy team?

Yes, with a stable internet connection. Calls can ring on the browser, desktop and mobile apps at the same time, so if one device or connection has a problem the call still reaches your team — and AI overflow catches anything nobody can answer.

Does TalkerIQ work with my CRM?

Yes. TalkerIQ integrates with HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, Pipedrive, Zoho and others, plus Zapier, webhooks and an API. Calls, recordings, summaries and outcomes are logged automatically.
